New Hampshire Democrats debate

Interesting stuff with the clock…

I caught the end of this one. Dodd seemed to lack focus, and he didn’t get much airtime. What airtime he did get, he didn’t make the best use of.
The whole debate seemed chaotic. The questions were unsurprisingly terrible. Wolf Blitzer interrupted a lot, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. It was hard to get a clear impression of anybody, but here goes:
Obama: Confident, but needs more depth. He can either be mesmerizing or bland. He wavered back and forth between those two poles–mostly staying safe on the bland side.
Hillary: Determination! Eyeballs! She will crush you.
Edwards: Who cares? He’s purty. Also shallow as a puddle.
Biden: At least he’s passionate about Darfur. I respect that. Everyone else seems to write the whole thing off as some nutty cause only celebrities and bleeding hearts care about. Genocide is genocide. Give Biden this: he went there, saw what’s happening, and wants to kill the fuckers who are doing it.
Richardson: Practical, statesmanlike, dull. He is so much better on paper than in person.
Dodd: Present! I wish I could say better. But I can’t. I wonder what he’d do with more airtime? He’s out in front of the others on so many things, but he didn’t really mention that tonight.
Kucinich: Escaped from his cage. Needs to run around in the wheel some more.
Gravel: Old coot.
